That right.
We started potty training.
From all the horror stories I had been reading from blogs,
I was down right scared.
Mom was not ready for this.
Aria on the other hand- was more than ready.
She had already been telling us when she had to go poo, for the last couple months.
We figured, we'd better start while she was interested.
So- last Tuesday, we let her run around nakee for an hour before bed. She did horrible.
7 accidents and onlly 1 success.
Meh.
Then Wednesday came around. 4 accidents and 3 successess.
Thursday 4 successes and 2 accidents
Friday 4 successes and no accidents
And then tonight, 6 successes and no accidents!
Ah!
My sweet girl is doing it!
We started a sticker chart.
Every time she goes, she puts a sticker on the chart.
Along with that sticker she got 3 mini m&ms (which have now turned into 2 tic-tacs. That girl LOVES tic-tacs).
We clap and dance when she goes,
and when she does have an accident- we keep cool.
We walk her to the bathroom and explain that we got potty in the toilet.
Then we had her help us clean the mess up.
And there was prayer.
Lots and lots of prayers on the little miss's behalf.
Potty training can get discouraging- especially for the wee tots.
I didn't want her to feel bad or get down.
We tried to stay positive.
And I think that was the key to her loving to go potty.
It's only been 5 days,
and she still could regress,
but our fingers our crossed that she continues to improve.
As a reward tonight,
we got her tangled undies.
She kept them dry all day.
Oh, how we are so proud of this munchkin.
Keep going goose!
You can do this!
