In honor of the fall season, we decided to center our FHE around apples! You probably remember from the good ol' kindergarten days of pulling out the paint and construction paper, and using apples to create a work of art. Well, that's exactly what we did. We probably got waaaay too messy and our poor apples got a lot of lovin' from the whole ordeal, but the memory- priceless.
Aria was super hesitant at first, and hated that she had paint on her hands. She kept saying, "UH-OH! GROSS! Uh-oh, uh-oh, ewwwwww...." It wasn't until Spenser put his hand in the paint, that she realized it was okay that she had some color on her hands. Silly goose. Once she got over the initial shock of this being a "messy project" she went to town stamping her apples. It was so cute to see her and Spenser work together (with a some help from mom- I was busy holding the little man). It was our family's first masterpiece. Granted we are no Picasos but we had a blast mixing the paint and experimenting with different techniques. It was a family Home Evening success :)
{notice how her foot is in the picture? She is obsessed with putting her feet on the table lately. Drives me a bit crazy...oy!)
