A couple weeks ago, we headed to Bear Lake for a family reunion.
It was SUPER fun. Their was 4-wheeling, tubing, wake boarding, BBQs, movies, etc.
I was a bit bummed that I couldn't go tubing or 4-wheeling {thanks to my very large front} but it was made up in other areas. Unfortunately, since I wasn't able to do those things, I didn't get any pictures of Spenser being a complete boy. Most of my pictures consist of Aria- who in the midst of all the fun, was going through a growth spurt. So, she slept. Alot.
As you can see in the picture above- Aria got a new car seat!
We weren't even half way to Idaho Falls when Aria threw a fit. She hates being in the back, so we caved and stopped in I.F. to get her a car seat.
You should have seen us trying to do the swap in the middle of a complete wind storm!
It was a joke. But we did it and were on the road again.
She loved being in her big girl seat- unfortunately, she could see every snack or gadget that mom and dad had up front so the whole way to bear lake, we hear, "please, please? please? please.. please?" and then the crazy tantrums that followed.
Hu... so the trip was long because we had to stop so many times, but thankfully a happy meal solved her crankiness. It was her very first one! She loved the juice and chicken nuggets.
Thankfully she hated the fries (which means Spenser and I gobbled them up. Win!)
Aria loved being around "pam-paa and maa-ma"
and being carried around everywhere the whole weekend.
Plus she got a good dose of sugar {fruity snacks, cake, cookies, and gatorade}.
She did end up having a "sugar-crash" and missed when we went to the Lake. It was a tad nippy anywho and we didn't stay long, so she didn't miss too much.
| I snuck this little gem. Parents kissing- priceless. |
| Bear Hug... tehe |
I wouldn't be doing the trip justice if I didn't mention Pickvilled Playhouse.
If you want to laugh your buns off, this IS the place.
It sounded kind of hokey at first- almost a bit juvenille, but to my surprise it was the best part of the trip.
I hee-hawed through the whole thing! If you ever go to Bear Lake-
GO TO PICKVILLE PLAYHOUSE and see
the hanging of el bandito.
Tickets go fast!

But anywho,
trips are always fun, but it's nice to be back home.
Nothing beats crawling into your own bed after a long day or showering in your own shower, or eating out the fridge as you please :)
