This about sums us up.
I am the one with the Mega-Mind Forehead,
and the Little Bit of Sunshine on my right (your left)-- he's the goober.
Together we form a crazy concoction built on a mutual understanding of each other's
love for food.
love for food.
He adores Twinkies, Beefy Burgers, and Banana Cream Pies,
I am a triple taco, Bit-O-Honey, Chips and Salsa kind of gal.
He's the sweet, and I am salty.
We are crazy about each other.
We have our kerfuffles though, and to be honest, sitting in front of a television every night, wasn't the right type of bonding time that Spenser and I needed.
Like every relationship, we realized that our marriage, and our family needed to be built on wholesome recreational activities.
Two years ago, we decided to go on walks in the evening, as a family. The idea made us sound elderly, maybe a bit boring, but it's been just the opposite of that! We have discovered some breath taking scenes, and we've come to love the Magic Valley.

The benefits of spending an hour together as a family, are amazing!
We have discovered this love of taking care of our bodies, of working towards goals, and of promoting and cheering on each other's healthy achievements. In fact, just last month, we ran our first 5K. It was exhilarating.
Check out the little miss's "after the race face".
DYING- haha!
Grumpy Cat- much?
In this life we only get one shot at a perfect marriage.
A lot of people will argue that there is no such thing as a perfect marriage. They might say that a marriage free from kerfuffles, and from little quirks and knots, is what makes it perfect.
But I ask, is that really what you want?
A life without experience and knowledge, or stretching- growing?
Step back and recognize the wholeness of having the good and the bad. The money stress, and the financial successes. The in-sync days, and the awkward conversations. The achy tired bones, and the sparatic bouts of adventure!
You need a little bit of sweet and a little bit of salty to round out any perfect combo.
Anybody can have a perfect marriage- you just have to look at things differently.
Be grateful and wonderfully happy with the life you have, and with the interesting and quirky spouse you are so blessed to have.
