4/26/11

From Sunny Las Vegas, Nevada,
to Grace, Idaho,
I feel like the song so famously known by Johnny Cash,
I've been everywhere, man.
Boy does it feel like it!
Spenser estimated we have traveled over 1,600 miles in the last week!
And while flights and drives were a bit monotonous,
we had a fantabulous time with family!

Easter in Overton!

From on the airplane we headed south...

It was Aria's first time on a plane,
and we were extremely nervous to fly with a 4 month old.
We've all been on those planes where a mother is trying to calm her inconsolable child.
The plane ride seems endless.
 Right?
Well, it was that very thing that almost changed our mind from taking an hour an twenty minute flight,
to an eleven hour car drive.
SURPRISINGLY-
Aria loved the plane!
Quite the happy camper.
 Best of all,
no tears! :)

A wonderful 72 degrees welcomed us from the Las Vegas airport.
From there,
my padre picked us up.
And for din-din and we went to
"the"
 best burger joint around...
 In-N-Out!
(They seriously need one in Rexburg)
Once we had our fix, we drove the hour north to
 Moapa.

From then it was
 bar-b-cue-ing
football,
 jeep ridin' and shopping
scrabble,
 dying and collecting eggs,
boppin to some oober old tunes,
 laughing till we cried,
and eating till we just about popped!

I am waaaaaaay bummed that I didn't take more pictures from Moapa,
but you can bet your bottom dollar we had a GREAT time!

Easter in Rexburg!

Easter morning we woke up pretty early only to discover...
that the Easter bunny had visited Aria!

We ate all her candy,
She only liked the rattles, book and bunny.
It's not like she could "gum" away
at a jelly bean anyways.
I think we prob did her favor eating all the chocolate and stuff.
Then, to Grace we went!

Easter in Grace!

Just take a look at the adventures we had with the
 Dimond Family!

My in-laws introduced me to this thing called Bountiful Baskets.
Basically what you do is pay $15 and you get a laundry basket full of veggies and fruit.
Pretty much amazing right?
Well, they had this coconut from their basket.
No machete to open it.
So with a good old whack on the cement outside,
 it split open!
The fun that we had with this coconut is as follows...
{Spenser was having the most fun with this tropical fruit}

We also enjoyed spending some time outside with their horses.
I think Aria liked them :)

But more than anything, it was fun hanging out with
Family!

It was a very busy week, but it was completely worth it!
Phat monkey, brown chicken-brown cow,
and the many faces of Aria,
we couldn't help but
laugh and laugh and laugh.
Hahaha, Oh goodness.
A million memories most definitely made.
