Home family Moapa Trip

Moapa Trip

For Turkey Day, Spenser and I decided to head down south (ducks and geese are a lot smarter than we give them credit for). While going down was a challenge due to the MASSIVE blizzard we had, we made it down in good time. Well... as good as it can be traveling with a pregnant lady. We were stopping every hour to use the bathroom! But besides that, we made it to Moapa Valley just in time for Turkey Day.
My dad had to work Thanksgiving so we spent the day at the fire station in Henderson. The pictures say it all...
Spenser in the firetruck sittng in Dad's seat

I think he was a bit claustrophobic at first, but he said after a while you kind of got used to it. He liked sounding like Dark Vader haha

Geared up!

Love my man!

Pretty soon the whole family was getting into the firefighter thang

Cody (brother) had just gotten some of the main stuff on, when the radio went off that my dad had a  call! Cody had to shed that firefighter stuff off fast! Boy was it a hoot watching him try to get the boots and pants off! Bryson (brother in blue) tried to help, but that just made the whole scene even more funny to watch.

Padre in action!

The two most important men in my life :)

Spenser having too much fun with the "manly" tools. Notice my mom's reaction...lol

Thanksgiving to say the least was different than your usual gathering around a table and saying what you are thankful for, but we spent it with family and that was most important. However, I would have been a wee disapointed driving 12 hours to not have a proper turkey so the next day we did celebrate Turkey day with the fixins and works. Sadly I didn't take any pictures but it was a feast to behold. My sister and Chancho's (Shayla her best friend) peach jello pilgrims, Tyler's green bean casserole, Bryson's pre-dinner veggie tray, Cody's banana split cake, Spenser's tatoes, Mom's jello salad and Dad's GiNoRmOuS Turkey! We can say we were utterly stuffed! Just like the turkey tehehe...
It was such a good trip! From eatin at Cracker Barrel and celebrating Papa's birthday, making homemade egg rolls and white chocolate popcorn, hanging Christmas lights, watching Tangled in 3D, playin with Turkeys and horses, and laughing till we cried, I guess you could say it was a memomrable trip. It was much needed and well worth putt-putt-puttin through the snow to get there!

Makin white chocolate with the sis :)

Looks like loads of fun. And that would have been fun to see the guys trying to get out of that gear fast! Visiting family is the BEST!
